Bird Photography Weekly #94

Red-tailed Hawk & Northern Mockingbird
Buteo jamaicensis & Mimus polyglottos

Friday afternoon after work, I took the new camera out for a bit of practice, and was given quite the show as a pair of Red-tailed Hawks (who were sitting at their usual spots atop power line poles on Horn Pond Mountain in Woburn) were repeatedly dive-bombed by a single Northern Mockingbird (a mob of one).  These photos were all taken about the same time, but notice the difference in sky color - this comes simply from having a different angle of the subject in the late afternoon sun.
